We finally reach the underground base where Metal Gear Rex is being held, but it’s quiet, a little too quiet.We overhear the conversation between Liquid & Ocelot about their plans and also learn about the secret about the PAL key card and how it works.
We now begin our route to the underground base where Metal Gear is being held, first going through the Blast Furnace and into the warehouse where we come across another familiar face from before, Vulcan Raven.
After our small ambush with the stealth genome soldiers in the elevator, we now head on to the Snowfield in order to get to where Metal Gear is held, but along the way we get our second and final encounter with Sniper Wolf
While Otacon checks out on what is wrong with the elevator to proceed. There is one other annoyance that needs to be taken care of and that is Liquid in the Hind D helicopter.
We now begin disc 2 of the game as we now reach the communications tower, but as we head up the long stairway we get ambushed by a group of Genome Soldiers.Also we escape a brief encounter from Liquid piloting the Hind D.
After all the torture we endured from Ocelot, we finally find a way out of the cell. A fair bit of backtracking is being done in this, hence why the part is longer than usual also we get some items along the way.
With Psycho Mantis’ last breath, he opens up the secret door behind the bookcase and go into a cave with some brief attacks from wolves.Then on our way to the communications tower we are ambushed, by another member of Foxhound,Sniper Wolf.
Picking up where we left off, Meryl is being mind controlled by none other than Foxhound’s psychic,Psycho Mantis. Things get very weird as he breaks the fourth wall such as reading my mind(memory card). Plus we do the old trick to stop him from reading our minds in the boss battle.
After our battle with the cyborg ninja, Gray Fox and saving Otacon, we now have to meet up with Meryl, but the atmosphere in the building seems to be getting strange.
Picking up where we left off in the last part, we reach the chief engineer of Metal Gear, Hal Emmerich aka Otacon. But first we have to face off one on one with Gray Fox,the mysterious cyborg ninja we met after defeating Ocelot.
After taking care of Vulcan Raven in his tank(no biggie). We now head into the Nuke Building, where we go on our next mission and find the chief engineer of Metal Gear, Hal Emmerich.
With both President of Armstech and the DARPA chief rescued but unfortunately dead from what is supposedly a heart attack, we get in contact with Meryl as she helps us get to the next area through the snowfield.But an anonymous caller warns us of a threat on our way.
After our little confrontation alongside the female soldier. We now go to rescue the next hostage in the tank hanger, The president of Armstech, but this time it won’t be so easy, as we have a good ole fashioned gunfight with none other than, Revolver Ocelot!
After reaching the elevator in the beginning we now head over to the Tank Hanger, where we have to rescue the DARPA chief who is being held captive and get some info from him.
